JOINT ENDORSEMENT - KEN MARTIN FOR DNC CHAIR 

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Today, leaders of the UFCW and the RWDSU Council of the UFCW announced their endorsement of Ken Martin for Chair of the Democratic National Committee.   

The following statement was issued by the UFCW and RWDSU members of the DNC:

• Marc Perrone - UFCW International President;  

• Stuart Appelbaum - RWDSU, UFCW President and Chair of the DNC’s Labor Council; and  

• Sandra Williams - President of the Atlanta North Georgia Labor Council AFL-CIO.

“We are backing Ken because he understands that working people are the backbone of the Democratic Party. Without the support of working people, there is no Democratic Party. Ken Martin has stood on our picket lines, and understands the underlying issues that are crucial to people who struggle to make a living each day. He will commit to making our party the party for working people again. Ken Martin has our full support and votes for DNC Chair.”
