“The RWDSU joins Governor Kathy Hochul in calling for federal assistance so we can better support migrant workers arriving here in New York. United, we are calling for federal work authorization, federal financial assistance and for the use of federal lands and facilities for sheltering migrants who need our help," said Stuart Appelbaum, President of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU).

The RWDSU represents approximately 45,000 workers in New York State in a wide range of industries including retail, grocery, pharmacy, food service, food processing, cannabis, warehousing, nursing homes, non-profits and agriculture – representing New York’s first ever unionized farmworkers…
Edgar Fields, President of the Southeast Council of the Retail, Wholesale and Department Store Union (RWDSU), whose membership includes 10,000 men and women in Georgia, announced the union’s endorsement of Stacey Abrams in her bid to be the next Governor of Georgia.
