RWDSU Marks 60 Years Since Bloomingdale’s 1965 Strike
60 years ago, in April 1965, Bloomingdale’s workers went on strike in New York City demanding a 35-hour work week, adequate wages, job security, and sick leave. The 15-day strike concluded on April 16, 1965, with workers winning a 26-cent raise. Check out historic footage of the strike below!
