Fresh Mark Workers in Salem, Ohio Ratify Strong New Agreement
Congratulations to RWDSU Mid-South Council members at Fresh Mark in Salem, Ohio, who recently ratified a new contract that includes the largest wage increases of any prior union contract at their facility!
The agreement also includes a new annual “W2 Bonus” that rewards longevity while creating a path for greater earnings for hours worked. In addition to the new annual bonus, all Fresh Mark employees will now have an opportunity to increase their vacation pay rate from 2% to 3%. Not to mention that workers secured very affordable health coverage with minimal increases for the entirety of the agreement.
The union committee was successful in working to modify language beyond standard wages and benefits by ensuring more timely bid moves, increased PPE spending, increased savings plan contributions, and a reduced age of eligibility for their Retirement Lump Sum Payment.
Thanks to the Bargaining Committee, pictured and listed below, for all their hard work!
